Finally, spring is supposedly here (I mean it is much warmer than the usual) and Cora got to come and visit me.
Yet, as shameful as I may sound now, my friends understand that work comes first (sadly for our lives) so I had to work.
meanwhile I work, Rachel (Cora’s friend) picked her up and they went around town to have fun before we meet for dinner.
Then we had dinner at the delicious Vietnam house. Simon joined as well.
Rachel had to leave so we went to the gin bar, had gin, whiskey and beer. Then off to home.
Cora was in the toilet and missed the picture haha
Next morning, I took Cora to one of my favourtie food places in Edinburgh. Eteaket cafe.
Now to the funny part (maybe) of Cora’s visit. So when she was about town with Rachel on Friday, a boy had asked her out to go swing dancing on Saturday. When Sat came, he said he had an extra ticket for the rugby final. Cora was so worried I cannot go, but thanks to the Red Cross I went and enjoyed it for free.
While she awaits her boy to arrive, she was snapping me photos of my colleagues haha
Since I am a workholic, I ended up so ill after that shift.
So after the game ended (English won, French lost) we went to attempt attending the swing dance. After a long monologue on my part, about how lots of Scottish boys are cheap, towards the boy from the borders that asked Cora out, just for me to end up saying, (hell no I will not pay 20 pounds to attend a virgin swing dance). Oh the shame on my part.
Anyway we ended up going for 2 drinks, but I was getting the bad feeling in my guts, getting sick anticipation.
I am so apologetic to Cora, mon amor, because I was so ill and she got bored just sitting there, even though she said she did not. She just stayed next to me in bed hearing the sounds of agony coming out of me. Moaning in pain and misery. Ah to top it up, I was vomiting and having diarrhea haha It was my first ever, food poisoning. There some pics when I felt a wee bit better.
But before the sickness, we had a mask night
I went to work on Monday like a corpse, sat down and told the security to keep checking on me, with any sudden movement I felt like I will either throw up or faint.
But I survived.
Until next entry
I have 2 side notes
1. See when I embarrassed the boy who asked Cora out saying Scots are cheap. She took him out for a drink to say thank you for rugby. He ate an expensive meal got a non-alcoholic beverage that cost more than alcoholic drinks. On top of all of that he made her pay without shame 😂😆 I had told her several times not to let it pass when it happens but she is too nice.
2. Of all this drama, Odin was so missed.
Feeling my sickness pain 😜
