For the last few weeks in the Green House, everything was a blur. I think finally the altitude was getting to me 😅
In Amsterdam I thought my partying night was the last of its kind! I surely was wrong.
Glimpse of Amsterdam night out avec mijne Cora
Back in Nepal, the last few weeks at the Green house were just the same. When G was around I was out almost every night drinking. When he left I started going out of the house with Lena, monkey, Juho and/or Jay. Sometimes, we just go out of the house til dinner time. Still we drank almost every day. I bet my liver hates me 💢💢 but my body had fun so why not!
Side pictures on what was going on:
When village people came back we had dinner I finally was not alone
Ah me and monkey visited quite a nice bookstore #pilgrims
Life was as per the usual, food was gross, Dutch wave was still intact, I was finding my corners with non-Dutch people, like my lovely Agnes.
Could not be any better, I became close to everyone.
Dentist visit 😂 water comes out of this into patient’s mouth 😑 my mouth too
No matter how boring it got I still managed to have fun with everyone.
The too much fun, hence new nicknames for me. Now if you had visited my Facebook page you shall see I have been named kumari haha.
Dr. Mötte usually teased me about my age and that I am not married (we are same age) So one of the babies, Alok, decided to name me Mina Kumari. As far as I know, kumari means unmarried 😅💍
With my extra joking around I acquired a new nickname, kali which means black. Because I complained (as per the usaul) about how Nepali sun🌞 (as if there is any other sun 😂) is making me darker. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being darker. I just hate it because then I am definitely mistaken for an Indian! Or Nepali! I adore my natural tone, it is caramel delicious 😋🍮
My fair caramel third day in Nepal before it got to be unrecognisably Nepali
You could have actually see my cheeks pink when I blush (not anymore 😔)
Anyway, my Pasang had quit because the hospital is just full of volunteers. So we started hanging out after work.
We even saw
And because the house was getting colder by the day. People and weather wise.
Cold weather was affecting some of the staff as well
Regardless, I was getting agitated by the minute during my last week, I had to take 2 new girls with me to the hospital and I saw they were given white coats! The green lion had not even said they can offer it, letting me wear my dirty scrubs because I don’t have time to wash it. So they gave me ones claiming it is new and never been worn
Till my stethoscope started falling from it! So shameless of them. Ah well least I got a good picture with other volunteers and my Pasang before we all scatter and separate.
Ok finally I was leaving and leaving poor Jay behind, alone caught in the Dutch wave 🌊 that he felt so bad in the house and ended up spending most of his time with me 😄🐒
But maybe he was happy I was gone, as I tended to steal most of his snacks
Second week to last was the week I almost got kidnapped and raped by the stranger on the bike (back to the future entry for reference). Dr.Tej was quite frustrated at my impulsive behaviour that is not suitable for Nepal so he picked me up while so tired the next night haha to drop me off home before I picked up another stranger ride
And my walk everyday
Yada Yada it is the day, I move out 🏃
Oh I had written my name on my blanket as they used to just let it sit in the sun ☉then give it back to whoever. So dirty 😣
It was time to move on again, to Richard’s flat. To freedom of choice, good food, no curfew and hospital night shifts.
Richard and I
Anyway getting quite late, this blog is time consuming. I shall resume later.
